The Queer Local is gearing up for their first issue, which is doubling as the Pride Guide. This quarterly publication is created, run, and inspired by- who else- queer locals! We're always looking for more folks to get involved. We're especially looking for people to help with: - acquiring advertisers (ask a business to buy an ad!) - designing graphics - editing articles - developing the website - writing articles Any and all are welcome with as much (or as little) involvement/time commitment as you'd like. Come be a part of something new and special, meet others in your community, and have fun working on this awesome ongoing project! For more information, contact Brian Loring at Brian.Loring@theQueerLocal.com Add Comment We've got some fun stuff coming up: - Karaoke at Frannie O's on Wednesday the 23rd. Clean out those rusty pipes and meet us at RU12? at 9pm or at Frannie O's at 9:30pm. I don't know about you, but I predict outrageousness. Just sayin. - GAYme Night is going to be on the 30th, after Core Group, at 7pm. Meet us at RU12? and then journey down the hall to PCC. They have more space and a projector and have generously donated its use to us (Thanks Brian Q!). We'll have a Wii, Apples to Apples, Taboo, and a bunch of other games! And CRAZY ! Who knows, maybe I'll even bake a cake. That's right... a friggin CAKE. Suggestions for flavors? - April will bring a showing of Noah's Ark: Jumping the Broom on the 6th, the much-loved bowling on the 15th, a Brunchalicious Sex Talk (complete with masseuse) on the 17th, and dressing up in costumes to shock and awe the goodly patrons of Monkey House (ie hand out condoms and invite folks to GLAM). Whew! Busy times! If I were any more pumped you'd mistake me for Ron Jeremy's... heart. ALSO- much talk about creating a GLAM magazine quarterly. What would you want to say? What would you like to write about or create? Start those wheels turning cause there's some major buzz about this! That's all for now, my darlings! What do ya think?
